Thomas Bolyn "Tom" Smothers III (born February 2, 1937) is an American comedian, composer and musician, best known as half of the musical comedy team The Smothers Brothers, alongside his younger brother Dick Smothers.
When commercials for Alpo featuring Garfield were produced, Lorenzo Music was sometimes available to voice the character. On other occasions, Smothers filled in for him. At least one commercial had both actors appear in alternate versions.
